New home ideas

In 9 short days I'll be moving into a much larger house than I'm used to. I can't wait!! That being said, decorating will be a fun and exciting challenge that I'm very much looking foward to. For the first time I get to decorate a home office...and as I always do, make a larger master bedroom feel personal and luxurious. Here are some of my ideas.

The Home Office

This is not an office, but the colors are amazing! Do you see those chairs? Why not replace a boring old office chair with one of these? I think I will!

When stuck inside all day, bring the outdoors in. Keep the space uncluttered and add some flowers and a great green plant.

The Bedroom

Pottery Barn never disappoints me! I love their classic style. I'm going to incorporate this great duvet into the master bedroom!

Lovely spaces....bathrooms

Let’s face it, it’s the first place you see in the morning after you get out of bed and the last place you see before you get in it at night. The bathroom should be just as inviting as the rest if your home. Luxurious even! A place to escape to pamper yourself, relax or make yourself beautiful. I found some amazing inspiration this morning via Houzz. Below are my favorites. Bright and airy spaces that make you want to spend some time there.

This view is perfection!! I might just stay in this bath forever

A few hump day loves

Happy Hump Day! Is that phrase ever going to get old? I think it has but we still use it...blah

Anywho! Here are some things I'm loving right now:

This guy!!! One day I'm going to convince the husband that a tiny pig is necessary to add to our fur baby family. How could you not love that face?

These sandles from Target! I love them! They go with everything.

This living room is to die for. I'd love to curl up and look out at that landscape. Iv always been fan of natural colors, only recently have I gotten into brights.

Another great living space. We all spend a lot if time in the living room, I feel they should always be bright and airy. A good view always helps too.

Iv officially added this Pottery Barn bedding to my wish list. Moving is a great excuse to mix things up a little bit. The bedroom should be your sanctuary, cool and relaxing colors and help you wind down at the end of the day.. Or anytime of day.

I hope you all have a happy Wednesday! We are one day closer I Friday people!!

Room by Room....Kitchens

The kitchen always ends up being the gathering place. Everyone congregates to the kitchen at parties. I love wide open kitchens! The more space the better! Iv always had a kitchen where counter space is minimum....while perusing Houzz this morning I came across some awesome kitchens that I wanted to share.

The key is a lot if light! The right colors and lighting can open up any space.

White makes space appear larger, good windows help to.

And don't forget the built in wine rack. Standard!

Moving is....

Cluttered! I am not a fan of cluttered spaces. Anxiety and all the attached emotions come in to play whenever the space around me is not neat and tidy. This past weekend the husband and I, along with my mom started packing our house for the move to South Carolina next month. Packing is bittersweet.. This was our first home together, so it's always going to hold a spot close to my heart. We planned 80% of our wedding in the place. Not to mention I grew up here, never left, have never been away from family.

We are almost done! The big day, even more stressful than my wedding, is right around the corner. It's a crazy thought that this time next month I'll be 13 hours away in Myrtle Beach.

My first weekend there...I tried to take care of flowers, let's just say they didn't come back next year.

I'm going to miss the loft!!

Titus enjoying the dining room table

.....and the kitchen floor.

Lola in the loft

...and on the bed.

I did a pretty swanky Thanksgiving in 2012,

I'm going to miss this little place!

Erin Condron Life Planner review

I caved and bought another life planner this year!! And again I love it!!

I went with a full picture this time instead if the collage. The collage seemed a little juvenile, like when I taped fashion photos on my folders in middle school. It's smaller this year because I started mid year..but it's just as awesome!

The back is really colorful and I went with a great wedding photo!

Monthly tabs, addresses, notes and important dates. There's even a pocket folder and a zipper pouch in the back.

The inside is the same. I just love this planner. What I love most is that you can personalize it. I get to see the love of my life everytime I go to use it!!

Go get yourselves one! They are on sale for $30 @ ErinCondron.com

Trip to The Cape!

I finally got to take a little vacay this past weekend. Im in love with all things New England. The ocean, nautical stripes, pretty attire... My mother and I ventured to Cape Cod. Originally, it was supposed to be rainy and not too warm, but once we got there, after getting lost for an hour, we got to the house and went to bed. I was in total surprise when I woke up to sunshine, blue skys, and temps in the 60's!

Who wouldn't want to wake up to that view? That small? That sound?

This is making moving to the beach all that more exciting!!!
